Presents
4 Pets is a nationwide program designed to collect much-needed pet care
items for donation to local animal shelters and rescue groups. Paws and
Kisses Pet Sitting, LLC is proud to be the local sponsor for this community
charity program.
The 2011 campaign was a huge success, with over $ 4,500 worth of items
collected for donation to local shelters and rescue groups! Donations have
been made to more than a dozen local shelters and rescue groups.
Paws and Kisses is currently in competition for the Silver Level medal for
their efforts during the 2011 national Presents 4 Pets campaign! We
won the Gold Level medal for our 2010 campaign!
In 2011, with the support of our clients and the local community, we collected and donated so many pet care items that we stand a good chance of winning this year! Of course, its really the homeless animals and their caregivers who win, when they receive much-needed donations during the holiday season. This is quite an accomplishment and the thanks go to our great clients and members of the local community who donated and worked with us to make this happen.

Presents 4 Pets is sponsored each year by The National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS). It is designed as a locally based charitable collection effort, with individual campaigns run by NAPPS member volunteers in their local communities. For the past four years, NAPPS member Mandy Oram, of Paws & Kisses, has sponsored the Southern Connecticut Presents 4 Pets (P4P) campaign. Over this time, the local campaign has collected over $ 20,000 worth of pet care items to donate to local animal shelters and rescue groups!
- Presents 4 Pets is held in support of National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week
- For 2012 this week is November 4th - 10th
The Southern CT Presents 4 Pets Campaign
- The Southern CT Presents 4 Pets Campaign for 2012 will kick off
Labor Day Weekend.
- Local businesses will be hosting community donation boxes during the P4P campaign.
- Paws & Kisses clients and members of the community are asked to donate pet care items to help homeless animals.
- Each year, all donations are distributed to local animal shelters and rescue groups in time for the holidays.
- Some of the facilities and organizations the local Presents 4 Pets
campaign has contributed to include:
- Municipal Animal Control Facilities, including the Shelton, Stratford, Derby, Ansonia, Naugatuck, Milford, West Haven, New Haven and Bridgeport animal shelters.
- Local Animal Rescue Groups, including: SARAH Handicapped Animal Rescue, Stratford Cat Project, Feral Care, Our Companions Domestic Animal Shelter, 3 Bunnies Rabbit Rescue, Pups Without Partners, Connecticut Humane Society, Bridgeport Avenue Cat Rescue, and many more!
